Recycling waste products designed for changes in legislation
Thursday, 11 April 2024
In Wales, from 6 April 2024 it will become law for all businesses, charities and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling so it is kept separate throughout processing. This is part of the commitment for Wales to reach zero waste and reduce their carbon emissions by 2050.
There is also a drive in all parts of the UK to improve how we recycle and separate waste streams to improve our environmental impact. This means there is an increased demand for designated recycling bins in any location where waste is created. And, depending on the type and amount of waste, different bins and bin sizes will need to be made available.
For a workplace, you will need to look at what waste you’re producing and get the right service from your waste contractor. Then, consider whether you need to buy new or more bins, and think about how to train your staff and explain the changes to visitors or users of your premises.
To help towards this we have selected a range of affordable bins that can be used for recycling. Please click below to view the range.
