Relay for Life - Our Buckets Help The Break World Apple Bobbing Record...
Thursday 29th September 2011Growing Direct is a creative Direct Relationship specialist working with businesses to market and identify opportunities within the UK fresh food supply chain, which in turn encourages us all to use and eat as much fresh food and vegetables as possible. And so, who better to, through their Chelmsford Relay for Life Team, try and break the world record for Apple Bobbing?!
They recently approached us with a request for 300 buckets to help with this effort and we, of course, said yes - as long as we were not expected to participate!
The record breaking attempt was not only a successful one but also managed to raise just under £90,000 - a magnificent effort and possibly one of the best uses our buckets have ever been used for! The organisers have registered the record breaking “Bob” with The Guinness Book of Records and are currently awaiting verification.
